Transport Fluctuations in Pauli - Fierz Models: the Role of Master Equations

ABSTRACT

We review some results on transport fluctuations in system-reservoir models. The emphasis is on the role of quantum master equations, or, equivalently, of semigroup generators. Where the traditional weak coupling generator shows the correct leading order of system dynamics, the deformed generators show the correct leading order of energy transport fluctuations.
