ABSTRACT
Large random band matrices may prove useful for the study of the Schrodinger operator with random potential, as they seem to have similar spectral properties. In this context we studied the averaged density of states for a three dimensional random band matrix ensemble, in the limit of infinite volume and fixed large band width.
